P90X: Day 86 (Core Synergistics)

For some reason I couldn’t push myself as hard as usual tonight, but I would say I still did about 90% of the reps that Tony and the crew did. Still, for me anything less than 100% isn’t good enough! That is a trick I always use to keep myself motivated: I am my own worst critic ON PURPOSE because I fear that, if I ever get to a point where I say “I’m doing good enough,” then I will slack off and eventually just give up completely. To keep going I have to keep thinking I could always do better, no matter what I may have accomplished.

And speaking of accomplishments, look at the beautiful number in that subject line. Saturday, April 2 and P90X graduation, here I come!

About Steve Grogan

I am 40 years old, divorced, and a father of four kids. I am a practitioner of a self-defense system called wing chun kung fu. My other hobbies include writing, playing guitar, reading, watching movies, and listening to music. Recently I have gotten back into fitness, and this time I am DETERMINED to get the washboard abs...whether my metabolism will cooperate with me or not! The purpose of this blog is to write not only about my hobbies, but also about whatever crosses my mind, whether it is something I don't understand or something that aggravates me. So join me as I indulge my tendency to think too much about topics that don't usually cross anyone else's mind!
