Insanity: Day 9 (Pure Cardio)

The timer for this workout starts at 38 minutes. Aside from the breaks that Shaun T gives you, I didn’t have to take a break until there was only 17 minutes left. Yes, that’s right: I kept pace with Shaun and the gang for 21 minutes straight!!! Of course, once I took that first unscheduled break, I kept falling out every few minutes. However, I’m proud to say that the breaks I had to take added up to maybe two (or two and a half) minutes tops! Not bad for someone who thought he was going to quit only a week ago! Still, I don’t want to let my ego get too inflated. After all, everyone keeps telling me it becomes hellish again when you start doing workouts from the other DVDs. Will I find myself whining again, or won’t I? The jury is still out on this one!

About Steve Grogan

I am 40 years old, divorced, and a father of four kids. I am a practitioner of a self-defense system called wing chun kung fu. My other hobbies include writing, playing guitar, reading, watching movies, and listening to music. Recently I have gotten back into fitness, and this time I am DETERMINED to get the washboard abs...whether my metabolism will cooperate with me or not! The purpose of this blog is to write not only about my hobbies, but also about whatever crosses my mind, whether it is something I don't understand or something that aggravates me. So join me as I indulge my tendency to think too much about topics that don't usually cross anyone else's mind!
