I had something weird going on with my digestion today. For some reason when I got home at 5pm, I still felt full from the lunch I had…at 12:30!!! So I decided to hold off on eating dinner for a while, choosing instead to sit on the living room floor and play with William.
After a while I realized I couldn’t eat TOO late, or I would never get around to my workout. So I ate around 7:00pm, give or take. Then I didn’t put the DVD in until 8:45pm.
And you know something? I STILL felt full and not 100% ready for exercise yet. At first I chalked it up to psychosomatic symptoms and kept on pushing through. However, by the time I got to the jumping jacks that open up the Punch Combo in round 3, I knew I couldn’t do it anymore. Every time I jumped, I could taste BILE in my mouth! (It didn’t help that tonight is super-humid, and I hate working out when I feel sticky.) So I sat out the last seven minutes of the workout.
Despite all that, I enjoyed myself. I can’t believe I am one day away from finishing round one of this hybrid!
