P90X Classic Plus: Week 11 and Review

For week 11, I wound up missing Kenpo Cardio Plus because my stomach wasn’t so stable last Tuesday night. I never got the chance to make up for it either, which kind of stinks…for reasons I will go into in a later blog. Here is what I did for the week.

SATURDAY: Upper Body Plus

SUNDAY: Interval X Plus

MONDAY: Shoulders and Arms (This is what I would have done if I had been doing regular P90X Classic, and I didn’t feel like doing Total Body Plus.)

TUESDAY: Nothing

WEDNESDAY: 10 Minute Trainer Lower Body, One on One Lower Body, Legs of Gold (I was still feeling a little timid, so I did these instead of Legs and Back.)

THURSDAY: Patience Hummingbird (I had to be to CDL School at 7am on Friday morning, so I didn’t have time for Yoga X or Fountain of Youth. Still burned 594 calories!!!)

I am cutting the program short by two weeks (again, for reasons to be discussed later), but here is my general opinion of it.

The P90X+ Classic Plus routine is better than the P90X/P90X+ hybrid because it works more of the P90X+ DVDs into the schedule. However, as many of you know, Tony says “variety is the spice of life.” This schedule doesn’t live up to that promise. Not only do you do pretty much the same workouts every week, but they even put Upper Body Plus on the schedule TWICE!!!

If you want to get any enjoyment out of this particular routine, then I’d say you should do what I did: once that boredom hits, start to modify by adding in workouts you would have done during the original Classic routine.

Or if you have another workout program you can do, then just stop this routine and do the other one! 🙂

  2. Does your website have a contact page? I’m having problems locating it but, I’d
like to send you an email. I’ve got some recommendations for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great site and I look forward to seeing it develop over time.

Um…if you look right under the P90X Certified logo (where you see “Home”), there is a “contact me” page three items over to the right.
