Major Overhaul Coming

Well, I don’t think anyone who reads this blog knows this, but you will now.

I have decided to step down as a Beachbody Coach for the time being. Some of you may wonder why. Others may be congratulating themselves and saying, “Ha! I knew he’d wise up to that MLM scam sooner or later!”

Honestly, my decision has nothing to do with Beachbody itself. I believe they have a good compensation plan, and I have met some people who do actually make their living at it. And no, these are NOT people who got on board with all their customers from a previous MLM.

I won’t go into the full-blown description of why, but I will say this much: sometimes you get into a business like this, and you risk winding up with an upline that you don’t see eye to eye with. At my day job I know I have no choice as to who my supervisor is. It may be someone I cannot stand but, in order to earn my paycheck, I need to suck it up and deal.

Not so with Beachbody. With them I don’t HAVE to stay with my upline, so I have chosen not to. Instead, I am going to go with someone who I have more in common with, who I click better with.

What this means is that this blog will shortly be getting a major overhaul. I plan on making it focus solely on WRITING.

ANY act of writing that I do will be covered here: it could be about my novels, short stories, scripts, my music, and even articles where I rant and rave about daily life. (I was tempted to do reviews here as well, but I would like to start using my Amazon affiliate links, which is a no no when you use Amazon’s free blog service.)

Martial arts and fitness will go on a paid-for blog. The reason behind that is related to the affiliate link thing again: when I DO sign up to be a Beachbody coach again, I want people to be able to sign up as team mates or coaches under me. This is not allowed on a free blog.

At any rate, I hope some of you are as excited about these changes as I am!

About Steve Grogan

I am 40 years old, divorced, and a father of four kids. I am a practitioner of a self-defense system called wing chun kung fu. My other hobbies include writing, playing guitar, reading, watching movies, and listening to music. Recently I have gotten back into fitness, and this time I am DETERMINED to get the washboard abs...whether my metabolism will cooperate with me or not! The purpose of this blog is to write not only about my hobbies, but also about whatever crosses my mind, whether it is something I don't understand or something that aggravates me. So join me as I indulge my tendency to think too much about topics that don't usually cross anyone else's mind!

  1. I think it’s great that you’re giving up the fitness blog on here. I have followed your videos for quite some time and if I were you, I’d be ashamed of the way I looked.

Let’s face it, no one wants to train with a fat ‘coach’ as you refer to yourself.

I suggest this article: and also this one:

The writing is on the wall, isn’t it? If you were actually fit – then you’d have a chance at attracting people to train. But, you’re not and you don’t. But, as usual with you, it HAS to be someone the fault of someone else. It certainly couldn’t be of your own doing, could it?

Now here’s the challenge, you write that you welcome comments. Let’s see if you have the testicular fortitude to post my comment and leave it up. You have a habit of deleting comments when people call you out.

I think it’s so sweet that you think of me so often because I NEVER think of you until you post one of these comments. As I said it is sweet, but I’m afraid I have to tell you I don’t swing that way.

Second, I never said I was a trainer. Learn the diff, m’kay? And if we all took your stance and said an out of shape coach can’t lead people to victory and success, then I think John Madden would be out of a job, not to mention every football and boxing coach I can think of.

Third, it is every blog owner’s RIGHT to block any comments they don’t like or appreciate. You do it all the time on your political posts. Whenever the other posters argue you into a corner and you can’t fight your way out, you close comments. Take your toys and go home, you spoiled brat!

Let’s see if YOU have the “testicular fortitude” to stop hiding behind fake accounts.
