Well, if I were to make this post simply about explaining Thursday’s training schedule, then it would be very short because it is EXACTLY the same as Tuesday’s! However, I plan on discussing more than that. So let’s get the schedule out of the way here, shall we?
It is easy for me to get wing chun AND University Police Officer training in on the same day because I do my forms on my breaks at work. Then I save the UPO training for when I get home.
Recently I have been thinking that, in order to reduce the amount of workout time I need at the end of the day, I might wake up a little earlier than I have to, so that I can do the push-ups, sit-ups and burpees in the morning. Get myself all pumped up to start my day! Believe me: with the kind of day job I have, I NEED it! I need something to lift up my spirits because once I get there, that place drains the soul right out of me.
I will say one thing: I seem to notice my rooting has gotten better, just from these last few weeks of practicing the forms several times a day. My balance has also gotten better during the pivoting moments in Chum Kiu. Perfect? No, but getting better for sure.
